I took the doggy for a walk in the park as you can see. I wanted you to see a plant called skunk cabbage so I took a picture. It’s a short plant. When it’s new or if you break it then it smells like a skunk. For some reason, I like it.
When we came out to the fields there were many cars parked. Many children were playing soccer and all the parents came out to see. They all park on the grass where it says; No Parking.

I had to drive from the park across town to a church grounds to pick up my daughter from the May Fair. When I was a kid, I went to this same fair with my friends from school. I remember growing too old for this fair too. That happened about two years ago when I got real dizzy on the hang-glider ride. Nah, it’s cool. I still love rides!

Who knows what will happen on Sunday?… oh yes, Sunday is Mother’s Day. We are going to a country club for brunch with another family. It should be…hmmm, story to follow.

Yesterday I saw some rice for sale.

I noticed that the Royal basmati rice “From Foothills of Himalayas” is written in English.

…but the Kokuho rice, which looks very Asian, says Product of U.S.A

Meanwhile here’s enough rice to shut a few cake-holes.

In other local news by Kim; The cost of gasoline for our vehicles is on the rise. No matter what our government says or does, the price of fuel has doubled in a year and someone’s getting rich. The price is up 20¢ per gallon in three days. For my Toyota; $3.79 x 24 = $90 for 300 miles. (480km)

At the end of the day, I take a walk with the dog which turns out nice. Spring is the greatest season of all! This is a great park where I can walk amongst Nature without seeing many other people.

I watched a heart-touching movie. Now, I’m in a weird mood. I went outside tonight and I sat on a big rope swing in our yard. As I moved through the air and thought of love, I looked up to the moon. It’s almost full. ~~

I thought about the moonlight and how you and I share the same moon. I thought of how you are 12 hours ahead and how the world turns in 24 hours.

In the movie I watched were teenagers in love. It really got me thinking about how I am so much older now, but I will find someone and be in love the same way again one day. I’m not likely to settle for less than that. I need an attraction like I’ve waited patiently between lovers for in the past. A few years may go by but the time is nothing when I find the one who will elicit the fire within me.

The Springtime air is warmer. You can smell it when you walk outside. Smell the warmth in the air and feel the life coming out of the earth around. Soon it will be pressing in on all sides. Soon it will be hot and humid and almost unbearable. Years ago, I decided not to complain about heat anymore. When it is cold, even as cold as a week ago when it was below freezing, you cannot live without many ‘things’. You need clothes from your feet to your head and good shelter and lots of food so your body can make heat. When it is hot, you can always find some shade, find some water… and take off your clothes. As I come to the conclusion of this thought I wonder to myself which feels better: To come in from the ice and snow to a raging fireplace and sit by it’s radiance until your skin is nearly burning or In the heat of summer to come to the lake, river or sea – strip down and plunge deep into the cool blue water?

I feel fortunate to have grown up with all four seasons. Of the four distinct phases, it is Spring that is the most appreciated! We are all warming up, shedding our winter coats and emerging to the magnificent colors of Nature’s myriad forms of life.
