Perhentian Island, Terengganu
Sorry for the late post. I wanted to write earlier but I was busy with stuff. Anyway, we (me, Paul & my sister) went to Perhentian on 6th March. We took bus and the journey took more than 7 hours from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Besut Jetty. There’s only 1 bus (9:30pm) go to Kuala Besut Jetty everyday.
Once we reach there, we were approach by boat transfer agency and we bought the ticket to go to Perhentian Island. The price is RM70 per person (Return).
Finally we reach at Perhentian Kecil (Small Island).
Tunabay Island Resort, Perhentian Island
We stayed at Standard Deluxe Chalet (1 double bed and 1 single bed).
Price : RM270 per night.
Distance from the beach : Less than a minute walk
Oh ya, no television
We actually wanted to find cheaper accommodation but since monday is public holiday, most of the chalet is fully book & the only decent chalet that available is Tunabay Resort. The resort food is delicious. We had breakfast, lunch & dinner there. We did snorkelling and it only cost RM40 per person.
My advice to anyone who plan to go to Perhentian Island :
- The monsoon season peaks between November and March every year. That’s the best time to go. Expect more rain & rough seas from end of October until end of February. During that time, almost all resorts are closed.
- Buy the return bus ticket once u reach Kuala Besut. I forgot to do that and i only remember to do that when we was in Perhentian Island. I called the guy that i bought boat ticket to help me to buy the return ticket to Kuala Lumpur. We got the ticket but we have to take the bus at Kota Baru which is an hour journey from Kuala Besut. Nothing much there and the weather is freaking hot. Unlike Perhentian, the weather just nice. I swear Paul look like red lobster and looking at him make me think of food. Just kidding, sayang

Lookin’ Good!@ You guys are so lucky! Vacation is the farthest thought in my head right now. I wish I were snorkeling and sitting under one of those beach umbrellas sipping tall tropical drinks.
Getting there … and back, seems like a fun and challenging part of your trip.
Thanks for sharing, my friends.

ps, I especially like the picture where Nadiana’s eating and her eyes are closed, then the next picture Paul’s eyes are closed.
Oh ya…i was busy talking (as usual) and Paul listening (Or pretanding listening) to what i said and i didn’t realize that my sister took the pic until i heard “click”. Lol.
