I shaved my head for a cure

That’s what is says on my new cap. Today I got my most expensive haircut and the barber was a volunteer.

I participated in an event to raise awareness and funds for children’s cancer research. Before arriving I collected some sponsor donations and joined hundreds of people under a big white circus tent. There was food and drinks and games for kids. Since it was at a bar they offered mixed drinks and beer on tap. (It was Sunday before lunchtime so I doubt many people were drinking to get up their nerve.)

Anyway, thought you’d like to see the before and after pictures.

The weather is hopefully going to change soon and the outdoor events really start happening. Typically it’s a 5K or 10K run, which I look forward to getting sponsors for. This was the first time I’ve ever “shaved my head for a cure”. Hope my contribution helps some children one day.
