No topic but tired…

Hey!

It’s Friday night here. I’ve just gotten home from work. Ugh… it’s 9:30pm and I just drove as fast as I could home from the city where I worked today.
You know, I’m up before 6am so working this late is a killer.

This blog is a testament to why I just haven’t been chatting much lately. I left my house about 7:45 this morning. I stopped at 11am to let out the dog and collect some tools before driving almost an hour to work for some people who are never home and asked me to come at Noon.
I knew it would be a long day but honestly I typically run out of gas, so-to-speak, at about 2:30pm. Today I worked until almost 9pm.

I fed Lana and let her outside and while she walks around the yard barking at the shadows, I wait for some water to boil so I can make a quick dinner. I’m exhausted, I don’t give a crap about the internet, phone messages or email. I want some food and I want to sit down. My shoes are already off and I’m just waiting for that water…

Tomorrow is Saturday and I have several tasks to complete. If my client doesn’t go to Massachusetts for the weekend, I will return to finish what could not be done today. This is work without time for play.

I’m sorry I haven’t been around much to chit-chat. I miss the excitement of it. I miss meeting decent people and sharing online… but you know what, I think my water is boiling and I am going to eat… then shower, then fall down.
This blog entry is written to show, I care, I think of you, I wish I could contribute more to your everyday but lately I have been working. I know it’s not much, but in the time I’ve been away from our blog, I’ve brought in more than an annual salary. (How else am I to afford a ticket to KL one day?)

Someday, I’d like to be an employee. Being self-employed in the U.S. sucks because the Government punishes self-employed persons with SE tax. That’s a straight-up 15.3% in addition to income tax that employees pay. I hate paying taxes into such an exploited, f-ed up system. Love ya.
