Gathering of the Vibes 2008

Hi.
Each year my friends produce a huge four day concert. 2008 was the 13th annual Gathering of the Vibes. My daughter has been to many of these throughout the years, starting as a newborn in 1995. Every year, I am lucky to be a VIP guest. Check out this gallery of 36 images from this awesome event in Bridgeport Connecticut. This event is an occasion to catch some fantastic music for days on end. Nights end sometime after 4 or 5am the next day and start again as soon as the sun heats up your tent ’til you can’t stand it. Basically, soon after brushing your teeth in the morning, the drinking games start. Our camp had a completely empty table just for beer pong. We lounged around all day, walking to the stage for a few hours at a time, since music starts at 11am and goes until very late in the night. Many campers host guitar circles, late-night discos and just about every possible form of consumption you can imagine. We saw fire-dancers one night around 2am that mesmerized my friends. I believe I may have walked 50 miles during the weekend, despite repeatedly catching a lift on a friend’s cart.
