I’m ashamed to admit i’m malaysian…..

anwar-arrested-again1.jpg

After yesterday’s debate between Anwar Ibrahim vs Ahmad Shabery Cheek aka Strawberry Cheek (Minister of Information), the so-called government realised that Anwar’s popularity is now even stronger as he talks facts with conviction while his kindergarten challenger could only recite what his teacher has taught him to memorise.

So the only way to stem this popularity is to resort to Mahathir tactics of arresting Anwar Ibrahim today. If Anwar Ibrahim is arrested on a police report for alledged sodomy, why is an implication of murder by Private Investigator Bala hushed up and is no longer visible. Has he also been C4?

To our Royal Highnesses, the Yang Di Pertuan Agong and the respective Rulers, please make a stand now to protect our beloved country which Barisan Nasional is willing to sacrifice to protect their position when they have actually been rejected by the people. Daulat Tuanku.

I pray Anwar Ibrahim in good condition and i hope it won’t turn to be 1998 incident. I’m sure you guys remember how they treated Anwar Ibrahim :-(

Who’s next? Raja Petra Kamarudin is expected to be charged tomorrow with criminal defamation in relation to his statutory declaration on the murder of Mongolian beauty Altantuya Shaaribuu. How can you take Rakyat’s heroes - Raja Petra Kamarudin & Anwar Ibrahim, both at the same time????? For UMNO leaders, may you burn in hell!

RE that title, well: Imagine what it’s like being an American!

While I was in Peru, someone made a comment about U.S. Politics as if it was my doing.

I had to reply that in our system of “democracy” because of the electoral college the person elected President may not even represent the majority vote of our population as was the case in 2000.

That means that more than 1/2 of our country does not endorse the motivations of our current regime. In fact something near 70% of our population doesn’t approve of our Administration’s tactics.

You shouldn’t even have to ask whether I like or don’t like… when I start with the assumption that EVERYTHING a politician says or does is a personally motivated lie. A complete bastardization of the role of Public Servant.

Kim was so right about how public servant bastardized their role to please their political masters….even though the people are the ones paying their salaries. This morning, the whole of Kuala Lumpur was again paralyzed by the bastard acts of the running dog police by setting up road blocks everywhere. Rest assured they will come up with the flimsy excuse that “they are protecting the public interest and safety”!! Gahhhhhh!
No future if the government of the day uses intimidation tactic to silence the people and anyone who opposes them. We are no difference to Zimbabwe!

Strong words sayang. I used to be cynical about politics, but after Bush/Cheney got into office, I couldn’t keep up anymore. (;-) I never thought I would miss Nixon, whose shenanigans seem relatively benign now. Despite Bush’s attempts to gut the Bill of Rights, it sounds like things are worse in Malaysia at the moment.
