I was referring to the period of time after China forced Tibet to sign the seventeen-point agreement when resistance to the Chinese in eastern Tibet was supported by the U.S. administration for over a decade.

It&#039;s hard to talk about this stuff without you thinking that I give a shit about any of it. What does it matter to life in the town where I choose to live as a carpenter. How would my carpentry be different if I lived in Beijing? Where, BTW: as an only child I would be permitted to have more than one child without penalty.

Just writing here for the sake of shaking the tree to see what falls.
